[Said with disgust, but not directed at Mike. That's the no of a man who's found the comparison disgusting. Understands where it came from but is just NOPE about it.]
He's been my psychiatrist off and on while we're here, I wouldn't have kept seeing him if he was like...that.
[UNLESS HE WAS HANNIBAL BUT THAT'S DIFFERENT]
no subject
Huh. [A didn't know you had a head doc but for some reason not feeling surprised here huh.] Yeah, I guess if he was like that, everybody'd know about it, too... [Pause.] Unless he's sneakier about it. You know, smarter or whatever. But yeah, you wouldn't be down with... that.
[Probably wouldn't... He owes Will an explanation. Or something.]
His name came up a little while ago... [True.] I was hangin' out with some guys and one of 'em mentioned him. [False.] Said he thought Chilton was dangerous. [True. Ish.] I was just curious. [False.] If you knew him, if he was nuts... [True - especially since Walt White is cool with this guy. Walt White and Will Graham now. That's a bad sign, isn't it?]
If he had any powers I should be watchin' out for... you know, if I start goin' to gov parties again and he's there...

I'd have to know what sort of dangerous you mean, Mike. Everybody here's dangerous in one way or another. [Diplomatic as ever.] As for nuts, no. He isn't nuts, and his powers aren't...something he could get away with in public, if for some strange reason he felt the urge to try anything.
[will u only know 1 of his powers]
no subject
Dude just said dangerous. Nothin' else. Don't know what he meant, if the doc's not crazy or runnin' around with murder powers. [Thinking, thinking... to the best of his ability.] Maybe he was talkin' out of his ass.
[He sure as hell wasn't. Who else knows this doc? He's not gonna have to do like reconnaissance later, is he? Auuugh.]
Good to know, though. All that. Sure would suck if every doc that got yanked in here was some evil sonofa.
no subject
Probably was talkin' out of his ass. Lots of people have hang ups over head doctors, as you call them. Bad experiences or just...bullshit they've bought into.
[Like if you only ever watched crime dramas and mental ward movies you would probably think psychiatrists are all power-hungry fucktrucks. The poor oppressed psychiatrists. With their degrees and their huge salaries.
And yes, Will makes a face at that last bit, unseen. Sure would suck if every doc was an evil sonofa? Try living in a world where that's the case.
...oh so that's where the stereotype comes from.]
no subject
Yeah, yeah... Bullshit, yeah. [Head docs, Mike had never given them a single thought back home. Then he got stuck here. Opinion quickly formed.]
I don't think everybody here's dangerous, though. I mean, everybody I've met has probably been dangerous, but... Somebody's gotta be... not dangerous. Whole lot of imPorts. And shitty powers.
no subject
Powers aren't what make people dangerous. Can change or add to the danger, but... [Mike's probably heard this particular Will Graham tone fifty times over by now. That thinking out loud, gears turning.] ...doesn't make any sense to draw us in if we don't have some capacity to be dangerous. Considering what's expected of us.

What about those kids? On the network. They're probably not dangerous.
no subject
[Thinking kids can't be dangerous is, to Will, what makes them so dangerous. But he's curious who Mike means.]

Oh—hn. [Yes, very good way to make it not awkward, starting off with the semi-grunt "I fucked up" noise, gold star.] Doing anything for Christmas?
no subject
Snowmen! I'm thinkin'. If it snows up here by then. I mean, I'm not gonna do 'em. [Totally mature grown man snicker.] Gonna make 'em. Use my brain power to move 'em around, make 'em toss snowballs at mall shoppers. I'll probably hang around as a dog so nobody suspects it's really me. What about you?
[Heels, sits, wags tail at.]

Sitdown meals. More traditional than last year. Yours sounds like a lot of fun.
[More fun than traditional meals, possibly, judging by Will's tone.]

[Poor Will, stuck with family. Poor Mike, stuck without family. Such a double-edged sword.]
You got a tree?
no subject
[Ain't that life.]
No tree here. I'm a rebel. Gonna decorate some other stuff, though. Get into the uh... the spirit.
no subject
Suppose that's what matters. Not what or how you decorate, just that you get into the spirit.
no subject
Yep. Anyway, I'd better get goin'. [Wants to talk one moment, has to go the next.] Take care of yourself, Dances with Dogs.
no subject
Also whoa wow did he just get a special name is he one of Mike's people, wow. He should probably not reply with something like "You too, Comanche," though. Desperately white, that.]
You too, Mike. Have a merry Christmas.
[BETTER, BETTER.]
no subject
You too. Your present will be at the shop so make sure to stop by there at the end of the month.
[If you're not dead then. :(]
no subject
[don't know what to say to that!!! apparently. Damn it, Mike!]
April and I are going out of town for New Year's. But if you stop by any time in January, I'll have something waiting for you too.
[He'll get better :(]
no subject
Okay. January. I'll call you again then and... we can see when our schedules line up.
[Packs band-aids and beard oil in with present. :(]
