Infomodding (verb) — when a player takes out of character information and applies it in character. Players might know a character is a cannibalistic serial killer, but unless it has been said or clearly shown before, the character they play should not know that. Using what the player knows and the character does not know is infomodding. This is widely frowned down upon and considered an offense in most games. Don’t do it.
