[There is temptation to turn around the hat he's wearing, but he resists. Too much effort, not enough pay off. Instead, Jayden gets a call of back here from the back room. Will is set up on the futon, going over a folder, Gunther's head in his lap and some health nut granola bar in one hand.

Jayden will probably be more drawn to the bag on the table that has no special paper wrapping, nothing to conceal what's inside it. Just failure FBI and his dog and a chunk of marijuana, nothing out of the ordinary here.]

[Jayden wanders in and that is definitely a giant bag of bud right there.]

[It definitely is! And Will is definitely content and intent to stay just where he is. He looks up from whatever numbers he's jotting down only after Jayden speaks. Gunther doesn't match up with that—he's had his eyes on Jayden since the moment he came into the room. Not getting up, but his tail is starting to wiggle enough to be noticeable.]

Mike was already gone when I went back to get everything and move. [Bland, dry, there is nothing interesting here, it's totally a normal day in the neighborhood.] Didn't want anyone else to stumble in and find his stash.

[Up goes the one good shoulder. It seemed like the best course of action at the time. Granted, he was stuck with it and had to deal by either going through that with April or getting rid of it himself, but that was one minor "stress" he was more than willing to deal take on.]

[Jayden is unsure if he can trust Will Graham. He's been unsure of this for awhile now. But he grabs the bag and conceals it inside his hoodie. Part of him just wants to say goodbye and leave because Will looks busy, but... he did disappear and come back injured not long ago. So he stalls by the door, shifting his weight from foot to foot, looking down.]

So, um, did you ever figure out why Yuri gave you that book?

[Well now, there is one question Will wasn't expecting. His focus turns to Jayden and Jayden only, lips twisted. Words have meaning, agenda. It's never a bad idea to taste an answer before he spits it out.]

I think it had to do with it being by a Russian author and easily accessible in English. It's not a book I'd find boring or unable to read due to the way it was written. [For other reasons, sure. Will Graham may pretend to be a lowly fisherman who is not much outside of it, but Yuri knows him to be smart. Capable of enjoying books written in certain styles others might find boring or bothersome.] I gave him a copy of To Kill A Mockingbird in return.

[This for that: misery that was warranted versus misery that was not warranted. Sharing their respective homes, stories from them. He shifts in his seat, crossing his legs in a way that's less Will Graham and more...respectable. What one might expect from a doctor about to hear their life story.]

I gave him a book for Christmas, too. Maybe between the two of us we can get the stick out of his ass.

[Despite trying to be the adult in the situation and despite how he has come to actually enjoy and appreciate Yuri instead of the exact opposite, Will can't help but let out the shortest excuse for a laugh there ever was.]

[Jayden appreciates Yuri too, but that doesn't stop him from making fun of the guy. Yuri is a little too ridiculous to take completely seriously.]

It was called something like, How to Make Friends and Influence People.

It's just that, by Jayden leaving, Will now has to get back to work and he's not too keen on that. Adult responsibilities are a bitch and a half.]
