Is this business taken care of?

[Ain't that the truth.]
The situation escalated and the job fell into other hands.
Of course, I'm sure I'll know for certain in the days to come if the matter has been resolved.
Are you well?
[Because that's important, too.]

[Should he ask? No. Probably not. And yet:]
What happened?

But, in the end...]
Stark happened.
[What better explanation could he possibly offer?]

There is a delay of several minutes wherein Will debates if he should ask, if the potential answer is going to cause Yuri some distress. But Will's come under fire (not literally ty Yuri) here before, and had to discuss it. He isn't the only one, either.]
What did he do to you?

[Prevented him from contacting anyone and then from there...well, things had escalated as they only could have. Tony's determination meant he would stop at nothing to see his dream for the future realized, even if it meant erecting the whole damn thing on top of a mountain of corpses, and Yuri was equally determined to halt such evil plans. But by the time he'd realized Stark had no intention of letting him leave that office alive, it was too late to do anything about it.
Oh, he'd fought back, but on Stark's home turf the odds hadn't exactly been in his favor.
And that's putting it mildly, really.]
I was careless.
[He has a new scar to prove it, too.]
However, I'm relieved to see things haven't changed too much in the time I was gone. If nothing else, that is a good sign.

...except he sort of does. Or, at the very least, watch Yuri burn him alive.
He needs to stop eating so close to bedtime.]
The more things change the more they stay the same. [Thanks Bon Jovi] If you need to talk about it
[No ending, no period. Yuri knows the rest, so there's no point in typing it out.]
no subject
And the reason for that is obvious, really.
He's become used to this. The dying. The coming back to life. The dying again. And all the wash, rinse, repeat, ad nauseam that goes along with it. Maybe that's why...]
I appreciate the offer, Will. But what is there to say? I've been here before. It isn't nearly as disturbing an experience the third time around.
Besides...that's the sort of thing I should discuss with my psychiatrist, wouldn't you agree?
[Is he joking? He's probably joking.]
no subject
[As close to pleading the fifth as he'll get.]
Good luck with all that. And welcome back.

[A few minutes pass and then another message follows...]
There is something else I wouldn't mind discussing with you. Not here, of course. Not like this.
But in person.
