[He startles when he hears her scurrying up his car, jerking around to see the noi-oh for fuck's sake, it's a raccoon. Edgeworth stays still for a moment, pondering how effective his powers are against rabies, until he notices the little scarf around her neck. No, not a scarf, a- hey! That's his!

He notices movement out of the corner of his eye, and turns around to see Will Graham chugging a soda. His eyes widen, before he stops pumping gas and shoves the nozzle back.]

Do you have any idea what time it is?

[Too earlylate to deal with a raccoon wearing a stolen piece of neckwear, that's what.]

[A chug that lasts forever. The raccoon seems Pleased with Miles' choice to stop filling up his car, little hands clapping as he puts it away. Good job, Miles, you're getting applause for gassing up, you have all the approval in the world of a tiny lady raccoon wearing your clothing. Isn't life great? Isn't it just The Best?]

Real late. [He shakes his head.] Or real early, depending on how you look at it. [Will finally moves over, holding an arm for her to climb up. Which she does. A tail curls around Will's neck like a scarf but she's only got eyes for Miles.

[He's fairly certain that this makes life the worst, actually. The only silver lining is the fact that she's a pet of some kind, which means that there's a ninety-nine percent chance that he won't catch rabies just by being in her general vicinity. He still resists her pleas for love and attention, though. That is-]

[-until she leaps right at him. He brings up his arms, shielding his arms more out of reflex than anything, but she latches onto his sleeve and clambers up his biceps to rest on his shoulder. Mission accomplished. A second later he realizes he isn't being mauled horribly, and he lowers his arms, careful not to jostle the semi-wild animal that's currently using him as a... roost? Shelf? Tree branch? Tree branch seems like the most appropriate word here.]

[His scowl is interrupted by a fluffy tail tickling his cheek, and he winces when fur threatens to fly in his eye.]

[While Edgeworth generally has more patience for animals than he does people, even he has limits, and that ball of fluff trampled all over them. But hey, he has his personal bubble back. That's worth something, right?]

What, is this your idea of an apology?

[Any heat in his voice isn't actual anger towards Will, so much as lingering adrenaline from a certain someone's affections. Or maybe it's the lack of sleep. Or maybe he really could stand to eat, and should actually take Will up on his offer. If nothing else, he should at least ask if he has a snickers in there.]
