As gears turn and click into the possibility Chilton knows who sent his organ baskets, Will rises and makes his way to the room that lets everyone know he's having Serious Discussion. He steps on Ziggy's tail in the process and receives a mild ankle-lashing for it. The universe is apparently on Chilton's side, he decides, hissing at the sharp pain.

He locks the door behind him, presses a wad of toilet paper to the extremely minor bleeding, sits, and finally after all that delay:]

This isn't because I talked to Raina while you weren't yourself, is it?

No. But I assure you, she isn't happy with you either.

[Ugh. His first text gets deleted, a headbutting, defensive thing that sounds less like a grown man in trouble and more like a kid sticking out his tongue (to be fair, he does feel a little like he's being treated as a child, yet answering as one won't do either of them favors) and rather takes a moment to unravel the mounds of lies (in some form or another) he's told Chilton in the past...forever.

No matter what he stumbles across, there is only one he can imagine would get this reaction. Usually he'd have the details of what he's supposed to confess to, but if this is truly fresh news for Chilton...and to think, Will had shared all those beautiful fresh organs of Dorian's and Chilton isn't sharing in return. For shame.]

I have. You told him to find a project and he did. He found one in me. He followed your suggestion and followed it very well, and that has led us here.

And now you are blaming the victim. I meant something more along the lines of Tobias, his unfortunate betrothed, and he twisted it and you took the bait like a fool. And you and Dorian, like twittering mean girls, you sought to psychologically torment someone who thought you were a friend.

[A minute passes. And then two. If this were a messenger conversation, Chilton would have a beautiful view of those little "..." indicating someone is typing, then disappearing, then popping back up. Over and over, again and again, attempting to find the words. The words and how to phrase them. A third minute of silence passes before, perhaps unexpectedly, Chilton will find he's got an incoming call.

From Will Graham (or whatever he has him listed as in his phone, Lying Son of a Bitch is quite accurate), naturally. Except, this time around, if he doesn't answer, he won't find himself plagued every six minutes. It's now or never.]

[Oh no, he's not ceding control of the terms. Chilton refuses the call, and then the next call, finally opting to continue text instead.]

You're angry. [Captain Obvious over here.] Part of Dorian's motivations in choosing me was to piss you off. Do you want him to know his design succeeded?

Are you consciously manipulative, or is this a symptom of Hannibal's company?

If Dorian realizes he got to you, he'll take that as a victory. He will gloat. Loudly. You can deal with that or you can turn this back on him instead. I'm just pointing out the opportunity in front of you, Frederick. Whether you take it or not is entirely up to you.

And his foolish gloating will condemn you, publicly. People will not believe me if I said you had victimized me.

Dorian Gray has been a criminal more than once in this universe and is detested by many. Relying on people to believe him, even when he speaks sound truth, isn't an opportunity. His gloating would never spin what happened in a way you'd like. We would both be his victims. Poor you. Poor me. Clever Dorian bested us both!

Another prime example of your decisions causing me harm. I never wanted you involved with White. I made a mistake coming to you for help that one time, yes, but it hadn't needed to go beyond that.

That was not the first time you called on me for help and it was not the first time I answered. It was the first time you led me to the slaughterhouse. And now you are blaming the victim.

I did not lead you anywhere, I did not plan nor did I conspire your suffering. That is the difference between you and me, Will.

Walt killed you because I never wanted you dead. You psychologically tortured me because you never wanted me as a friend.

That isn't the

[message I had been trying to send never makes it past his mind. Nothing beyond those three words makes it out, actually, and Will sends it off as the broken half-thought it is. That only leads to more questions, likely without answers, and Will's not keen on more circles. It would be easier to address in person. Maybe that was why Chilton chose a firm grip otherwise, to prevent that ease. Helped to prevent the full story coming out, too. Maybe he didn't care? Will had been blinded by anger before, he knew what it was like. When he was too angry to care about anything more than the end result, too angry to want to hear what led to said end result. When all he wanted to do was put a bullet in a brain, a knife in a heart, without hearing what he'd perceive as more bullshit.

If it's just him now, fine. He has a safety deposit box to empty and some ugly ass art to figure out what to do with.]
