[Action?]
action like an action movie walk away while the bait shop blows up (again)
[ And while it is just over an hour before he arrives, he does get there. There's some hesitance to walk through that door, considering the last time he recalls it, he was throwing a vampire straight through it and the wall and just about anything else in their path.
But it's weird to linger outside too long, considering there's, you know, a window. It's not like he's invisible over here. So, yeah, walking in, looking around in a fairly sheepish manner (for a wolf, anyway). ]
how rude
And then there's Will, in casual plaid with a beanie firmly stuck on his head, apparently passing the time by fixing up the wall of lures behind the counter. Nicolas may notice they're all color coordinated. That may be impressive or sad, considering.]
Hey. [Said as he puts a light blue lure in place, eyeing it for a moment before he turns around to face Nicolas.] Good to see you out.
[Some people belonged in cages. Some did not. Nicolas never struck him as the sort who was in the first group. Not in this population, at least.]
no subject
Uh, yeah... [ He drags his attention off the lures, shifting it over to Will instead. ] Wasn't too fond of being cooped up, so it is nice to be out and about again. Ah, even if not everyone agrees.
no subject
I wouldn't worry about it, if I were you. Nobody's ever gonna agree on anything, much less how certain issues should be settled in this place. [It's not like people hadn't far worse than Nicolas and gotten off just the same, after all. Shit happens. Will doesn't seem bothered by any of this, now leaning across the counter with his hands loosely clasping each other.] I like to be hands off with this process. Done me fine the last time I went through it. You're an adult. I feel that's fair. I'll expect you to manage your own curfew, being out past it only for emergencies or situations you couldn't have predicted. Torrential downpour, for instance. But if something like that does happen, you can call me and I'll give you a ride wherever you need to go. That's not, that's not a problem. I'm here for you when you need me. Now, if you can check in daily, just a text or call, that's great. If you get busy and time slips away...I'm not a stickler about. That. [It just sounded better when he was possibly being monitored by Nicolas' guards to be matter-of-fact instead of slightly cool probation officer.] Don't buy anything you aren't supposed to, don't be out when you're not supposed to, don't do anything big you're not supposed to do...and this should be a relatively painless two months.
[He looks up, hands moving outward in place of a shrug. Relatively painless is what they both want, right? He hopes so.]
Sound good to you? Questions?
no subject
On one point, he does grimace at asking about it, but it can't be helped. ]
It does, only, the curfew. My job does not keep regular hours and as I have not been dismissed... [ Surprisingly, to him. ] Am I allowed to continue working? Or do I take a leave for the next two months?
no subject
As far as I know, curfew's only waved for the Swear-Ins. And other government functions. That sort of thing. [But, hell, even kids get leniency with driving if it's to or from work. Kids. His hand drops back to the counter.] Are there Registered ImPorts where you work? If they...were with you, drove you home or. Walked you there. I'd think that would be a good compromise. Unless you'd want me to do that, I don't mind. Shop closes pretty early and my other job is basically over at sundown.

[ Although how much the other Dendarii are up to babysitting on the job isn't really something he's sure of. Looks like it's time to find out. ]
It shouldn't come to bothering you.
no subject
[A shrug. He isn't particularly scared of the government, go figure.]
no subject
Good to know. [ And there's some relief in his voice, some of the tension leaving his back and shoulders that had been there from the moment he first strolled in. ] I would much rather keep busy, even powerless like this.

[Sexy vampire alien fashionistas.]

[ Something he'll say lightly. It isn't really a joke, since it's true, but he doesn't expect it to cause a problem at this point. ]
Other than that and vampires, though, I don't really go out of my way to pick fights...
no subject
[Will doesn't expect problems, either, apparently.]
Good to hear. If it changes, let me know. Probation is a process. Anybody who'd gun to make it more difficult for you needs to be taken into account.
[Maybe Will is a little paranoid when it comes to people getting framed for shit they didn't do. Maybe meaning he absolutely is and expects it from some of the unstable bunch around here. Throwing up an ear puts a man in a mindset to always expect the Worst Possible Outcome Ever.]
