I need a favor. Specifically, I need you to profile someone for me.

[He's still calm. He's still speaking matter of factly, as if the idea of Will saying no hasn't even crossed his mind]

Profile someone for you. [Dull gives way to disbelief.] Who is it, and will this be a private matter or something else?

It's a tribunal. An official RISE tribunal. And we need you to profile Jonathon Crane.

[Not I anymore. We. His voice goes firm, emphasizing how this matter is much bigger than the two of them.]

[A few seconds pass, wherein Will wonders about that we. If Edgeworth is hinting at some ~Do It For The Greater Good Graham Cracker~ nonsense as a method to see if that gets Will agreeable, as a first effort before what Will assumes is the last ditch effort...a guilt trip.

Funny thing, though, in the way it isn't funny at all, is that Miles doesn't really need to go either route. Not today, at least. He thinks of Chilton, and Raina, and their recent Baltimore pal, and in a tone that's as malleable as it is weary:]

[Edgeworth grips the device tightly when Will goes silent. He remembers the plans and expectations he had for this conversation, and he realizes all the possible answers that Will Graham could give him. Edgeworth thinks back to his script, what he can and what he needs to say should Will resist, and...

...and that's completely unnecessary. Edgeworth blinks, surprised at how easy it was, and clears his throat.]

[It's almost automatic at this point, being polite. Certain people crop up and all Will can think to do is be courteous. Some training he's had.]

Am I to assume this makes us even, or were you not using favor as shorthand to remind me that I owed you?

[Blunt, but he isn't upset. He has his own reasons for doing this aside from owing Miles, of course, but if Miles will let him kill two birds with one stone, why the hell would he pass that up? Sometimes it's better when the bird doesn't know it's getting taken out. Sweeter.]
