You know Freddie Lounds, right? She and I were taking care of some business out of town when he called her with this god talk, so we decided to cut business short. We went to De Chima. I could get back to Heropa quicker that way instead of driving straight to Florida. We weren't out of the car long at all before she got struck by lightning. It was out of nowhere, and she was physically fine after. But I wasn't going to leave her there, and she spent the rest of the car ride to Heropa talking about how she was from some city on Uranus and the history of that city being destroyed. It was very similar to how Dr. Chilton's been convinced of his godhood.

Struck by lightning? So...you're saying that Chilton was, too?

I heard about someone else who was struck by lightning and wasn't quite the same after, but I didn't get the full scoop on how off they were. I'm just guessing. Dr. Chilton would never act like this on his own.

I highly doubt it. [But he realizes that's not much to go on.] I'm pretty sure she'll let me know when she's back to herself, considering I spent 13 hours in the car listening to her go on and on about Uranus after I had her seen to for any physical damage.

[Actual Caregiver Will Graham. What even is the rest of Baltimore right now, he has no idea. He's not supposed to be the only sane one among them! But this is clearly not just about him at the moment, unfortunately. This poor guy.]

Can I ask how you know Dr. Chilton?

[Chilton had asked if Will was loyal to the pack, ages ago. Just because the pack currently doesn't remember who the hell Will Graham is doesn't mean that changes. He's no psychiatrist, doesn't want to be one, but...if this guy's involved enough with Chilton to get a call like Freddie and Will did, he can at least extend some courtesy his way.

Always good to have someone on call for a free lunch.]
