I don't see why they would. [But he doesn't leave it that, because it can be twisted.] We've had cases of imPorts who caused real damage to this world being caught and put in prison; I've never seen any evidence that the government would just kill someone for what I'm assuming he can't control. [Sounds more beneficial if they did some experimenting, not that Will's going to say that much out loud; there's not any real evidence of that, either, as far as he knows.] He got a name?

[ She hesitates, suddenly a little afraid and wary. But - this information has got to get to the authorities. It's beyond urgent. So here's the best little defense of that poor kid that Kitty can put up, and it's a very weak one: ]

And, God, even if he didn't, it's not like she's got much choice, does she? She's spent a long time avoiding being a snitch but this is something the government's got to know about. Fast. They've got to take action. The universal rules of street rats and rebels are sort of less important than stopping a world-destroying pandemic. ]
